Youth Player Eligibility Ruling amended

 

The AFL BJ Board has amended the current Player Eligibility rule from 5/12 to now 5 up 10 down. (Amended Rule attached)

Please note that Round 3 of grading and Round 6 of fixtures will not be included towards player eligibility

 

Competition BYES

 

As the AFL BJ draws are not compatible with the number of team in each division, Competition BYES may be uneven.  AFL BJ advises all club who compete in a competition with BYE, no adjustments will be made to even up the draws in each division.

 

Washed Out/Abandoned Games

 

Please note that when games are abandoned no Points will be awarded to any team within this round.

 

 

Youth Finals Playing Days

 

Due to the amount of Youth Divisions finals needed to be played, both Saturdays and Sundays will be utilised.

 

Please see below what day your divisions will be participating in 2009 finals.

 

Saturday Finals:

 

Under 12 Divisions 3, 4 and 5

Under 14 Divisions 3 and 4

Under 16 Divisions 3 and 4

 

Sunday Finals:

 

Under 12 Divisions 1 and 2

Under 13 Divisions 1 and 2

The AFL BJ Grand Finals will be held on weekend of 12/13th September at Zillmere Eagles – O’Callaghan Park, Zillmere Road Zillmere.

No Fixtures for Youth Football and Junior Rules Football (Under 8 – Under 11’s)   – Weekend 4/5th July

Round 11 Fixtures for Youth Football – 11/12th July

 

Assistant Coaches

 

All assistant coaches must be accredited or in the process of accreditation for season 2009

 

Coaches Box

 

1 x Coach – Blue Coaches ID Card

1 x Assistant Coach – Green Assistant Coach ID Card

1x Team Manager – Orange Team Manager ID Card

1 x Runner – Bib

Interchange players

 

Only ONE PERSON PER POSITION

 

 

Team Trainers

 

Youth Teams that have a trainer please note he/she must have a Yellow Trainer ID Card and need to sit in the 1st Aid Area – not in the coaches’ box

 

On Field Officials

 

A zero tolerance policy has been instructed to umpires with regards to the misconduct of these volunteers.

 

Role of Water Carriers/Runners/Boundary Umpires/Coaches/Assistant Coaches.

 

Water Carriers are not permitted on the ground at the start of the match.  Water Carriers are to position themselves over the boundary line when not providing water to a player.

 

Runners are to give their message to the player/s and not remain on the field. They must at all times remain in the coaches’ box when not giving messages.

 

Any volunteer found coaching or questioning umpires decisions or being abusive to any player/volunteer will be removed and/or reported and cannot be replaced.

 

Player Registrations

 

Please provide AFL BJ all completed registration forms.  Player’s information needs to be entered on the database for your Footy Web Co-odinators to create Team Sheets.  If a players name does not appear, the player is unregistered and should not play.

 

Player Eligibility Rule 9.4.12:

1.3     Unregistered player, Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) plus loss of match points.
