Awesome…Awesome…Awesome… The girls played at home against Park Ridge White. The day started with two players Courtney A and Emma unable to play due to injury. But of course the girls were there to cheer the team along (even Emma’s mum). Luckily we had two new girls join our team Lauren and Kiara. This gave us 11 and Park Ridge had to turn players away to keep 16.
Sophie kicked our first goal and the crowd erupted (it is only our third goal of the season). Free kick just before the siren and Madeline kicked our second goal (great birthday present).
At the end of the first quarter, we were up 13 to 8.
Half time scores were even 14 to 14.
Three quarter time we were up again 27 to 20.
Even with a late comeback from Park Ridge who kicked three (nailbiting) points.
Final score:Leopards 5.3.33 to Park Ridge 3.5. 23
It was a very hard and physical game, the girls gave it everything for the whole four quarters.
Darren and Fred were very proud of the girls efforts.
This is the girls first win in two seasons!!!!!
