May 2009 Hi We are “The Convicts – Convicted of Caring!” a team of 15 friends with young families whom have all in one way or another in recent times been affected by cancer, whether it be ourselves, a loved one or a friend. On August 22nd we will be participating in the Queensland Cancer Fund 18 hour Relay for Life and until then we will be collecting donations, sponsorships and holding a number of fund raising activities. Our major fund raising event is a Ladies Night being held at the Algester Sports Club on the 27th June. To make this event successful we are relying on our local communities’ support. If you are able to assist us with a donation for our raffles on the night or would like to purchase a ticket you can contact me on 0401 057 448.
