Why choose Sunset Cove Resort and Noosaville?  Once you have stayed here this will be obvious but for the ’first timer’ here’s a few suggestions of the things a stay in Noosaville can offer over and above the facilities here in the resort:

Sunset Cove is literally a couple of minutes stroll away from the start of over 30 restaurants, cafes and take-away places (and all of them within 10 minutes).

Restaurants and cafes stretch the length of Gympie Terrace; starting from the Yacht & Rowing Club right along to the other end you are simply ’spoilt for choice’ of food and dining styles!  The quality of food on offer is very high and many people come to Noosaville just to enjoy the ambience and eating experience. Knowing the best is just a short stroll away there is no need to take the car and be concerned about driving!

Thomas Street, off Gympie Terrace and only two streets away from Sunset Cove, has a large variety or eateries too; from top class Australian food through a number of Asian styles and International cuisine to the good old basic take-away type food.  If you want to dine in your apartment without having to cook then you have a wide choice of good food as a number of the restaurants also have a take-away option.  How about taking your meal to the river side – enjoy the view relaxing on grass, sand or at a picnic table – it is all there.  The immaculate electric barbeques all along the river side make open-air picnics a delight at any time of day.

Ferry trips to Noosa Heads in one direction or Noosa Harbour in the other are at the bottom or the street, take a day ticket and hop on and off as the mood takes you.

Water activities range from a tranquil tour through the

Children can be easily entertained on the riverside with plenty of grassy space, playgrounds and pockets of sandy beach with the shallow waters of the river to splash about in.  And, by Crikey! it is only a 40 minute drive to the famous Australian Zoo. Camel Safaris on Noosa’s north shore are an interesting option for all ages and door to door pick up is available. For the tweens to teens try Ten Pin bowling at Noosaville

Other near by attractions includes the Ginger Factory, Big Pineapple, or a bit further away there is or Aussie World or at Maroochydore and Mooloolaba there’s Top Shots and  Underwater World.

.

Surf beaches are as close as 4 kilometres starting with Main Beach at Noosa Heads, Sunshine, Sunrise, Castaways, Marcus, Perigian and Coolum beaches.  Some of these boast a surf club where you can enjoy meals or drinks and the best view in town. Noosaville has all the river water activities at hand but it is also a great jumping off place for inland or other coastal areas.

Hinterland excursions can be as close as ten or twelve minutes to Eumundi and the famous markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings, the Winery experience or other delights of this historical township.  For a longer drive, why not wend your way to Mountville and Maleny or through to Kenilworth.  Historical Pomona in the other direction is well worth a visit.  If you are interested in railways consider ’The Valley Rattler’ at Gympie with a 40 kilometre (80km round trip) scenic tour through the Mary Valley.

Fraser Island excursions are popular and being picked up at the door and delivered back again after a day on the world’s largest sand island and heritage park is worth considering. Everglades with an all day option to drive the 40 mile Beach and see the Coloured Sands in one direction, or, for those who like to be in full control there are numerous styles of hire boats.  Party boats with BBQ facilities, ’tinnies’ or something in between; they are all available.  Jet skis to pick up the pace a little, or get big thrills on the Ocean Rider.

Whatever style of holiday activity you want you can get it easily whilst you are here at Sunset Cove and we are happy to arrange it for you
